Health is an important subject for CBO. Therefore, the company has adopted a series of
procedures in order that the well-being of the crew members and their relatives can be assured
during the days on board.
The crew members go through some periodic checkups and receive training for emergency
assistance in high seas. On the vessels, the diet is controlled by a nutritionist and the crew
takes part in lectures that emphasize the concepts of safety and good nutritional
habits.
Exercise is also encouraged, as the vessels all have mini-fitness centers.
CBO has the goal of knowing the individual characteristics of each employee in order that the
period at sea occurs with the minimum of discomfort regarding his family. The company goes
beyond what the legislation requires and develops a program of support for all crew relatives with
the assistance of psychologists, doctors and therapists.
