Quality Control

Quality Control is present in all steps of the production process, from inspection of raw materials to finished products. Analysis of product characteristics is performed by our own laboratories, manned by specialized personnel and equipped with the most modern equipment available.

Many quality parameters are monitored such as brix, acid, ratio, flavor, oil, defects, color as well as microbiological aspects. In our laboratories we also perform special analysis such as Pectin, Hesperidin, Limonin and others used to verify that our product meet international standards.

We also use third-party specialized labs in Brazil and abroad, where by means of the most modern analytical equipment available in the US and Europe the analysis of pesticides residues is performed, assuring the fulfillment of legal and food safety requirements such as the ones established by: Brazilian Departments of Agriculture and Health, U.S. FDA – Food & Drug Administration, U.S.D.A. – United States Department of Agriculture, United Nations Codex Alimentarius and the AIJN – Code of Practice for Fruits and Vegetable Juices.

Throughout the different steps of fruit processing, the Quality Control assures the final product quality is in accordance with the different specifications of markets and customers.
A specialized technical team use quality practices and tools that ensure the product gets to the customer meeting the food safety and quality requirements.

Analysis

Quality monitoring includes the whole production process which starts in the grove, even before fruit harvesting, where specific analysis are performed such as brix, ratio and maturity evaluation in order to identify and schedule the fruit that is ready for processing.

Monitoring of fruit quality

By means of constant monitoring, 100% of unloaded trailers are inspected and all fruit quality characteristics are checked. Only loads that meet fruit receiving specifications are accepted. After unloading and the inspection by Quality Control, the fruit will be available for processing resulting in a final product produced with fruit selected to match customer specifications.

Finished Product

In addition to standard process control disciplines used in our procuction processes, Quality Control analyzes and approves all finished products before delivery to customer. Only product that meets customer specifications, as well as international standards is approved, thus assuring satisfaction of our customers and their final consumers.
